Isha Yoga Center is part of the Isha Foundation which is a nonprofit, spiritual organisation that was founded in 1992 near Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, by Sadhguru. The foundation is run “almost entirely” by volunteers. The word isha means “the formless divine”.

Adiyogi Shiva statue, the major tourist attraction, is a 34-metre tall (112 ft), 45-metre long (147 ft) and 25-metre wide (82 ft) steel statue of Shiva with Thirunamam at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the “Largest Bust Sculpture” in the world. Designed by Jaggi Vasudev, the founder and head of the Isha Foundation, the statue weighs around 500 tonnes (490 long tons; 550 short tons)
The Yoga Centre at the Isha Foundation was founded in 1994, and offers yoga programmes under the name Isha Yoga. This customised system of yoga combines postural yoga with chanting, breathing (prāṇāyāma)[6] and meditation. It does not belong to a lineage (paramparā), and its practitioners believe it to be based on the founding guru’s unique insight.
